The Olsens Wore Chanel and Marc Jacobs on Full House
In today’s edition of ‘Girl, What?!’ news, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen told Net-A-Porter’s The Edit, that Full House’s Michelle Tanner, adorned herself in Chanel and Marc Jacobs clothing—thanks to the twins’ hard work.
“[On Full House] we’d be in six-hour fittings three times a week, because we had to wear 12 different outfits,” Ashley told the site about cutting up Chanel and Marc Jacobs to fit them. “We were designing clothes for ourselves as we were so petite,” Mary-Kate added. “So I think that this is when we became obsessed with fit, and now the obsession has become a profession.”
That’s all fine and dandy, but we have questions. What business would little Michelle Tanner have in designer clothing? Who would have purchased it for her? Surely not her single-father raising three girls. What was so wrong with Oshkosh B’gosh?
Also, it's worth mentioning that Marc Jacobs would have still been designing for Perry Ellis while the show was on air (the series ended in 1995) and even then, he was in full on grunge mode. If this is true and they were wearing Marc Jacobs [for Perry Ellis], the show would have veered into parental advisory territory.
Again, we say, girl, what?!
