After making stops in Austin, Palm Springs, Toronto, and Seattle, The Bonfire Sessions sponsored by JanSport wrapped up in San Francisco on September 30, 2012. The Bonfire Sessions are almost too good to be true – a free outdoor concert featuring a locally adored band and the good vibes of a backyard bonfire with drinks, snacks and goodies provided by JanSport. All you had to do was RSVP online and show up, and the night couldn’t have been easier or more fun.
Set on an unseasonably warm and windless evening on the Bay Area's Treasure Island (which faces a breathtaking view of the San Francisco skyline), our night featured music by Geographer, White Fences, The Dodos, and a special guest performance by Father John Misty. The event was completely free and so were the drinks and food. The views of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Bay Bridge were absolutely gorgeous - everyone stopped what they were doing when the sun set to ooh and aww. Sitting on a blanket surrounded by friends (the event only let in around 600 guests so the venue felt very intimate) while sipping on drinks and listening to live music was the perfect way to say goodbye to summer and hello to fall.
