Theory Gets Into The Accessories Game
Typically known for sophisticated separates, Theory is adding another category to its desirable repertoire of sleek contemporary wear: accessories. The brand, whose creative design is now overseen by original designer Lisa Kulson, will launch a full collection of bags and shoe styles for spring. The bags have a “discreet” style and are consistent with the brand’s aesthetic with few adornments save for an embossed “Theory” or stitching detail in the shape of a T. As for the footwear, Theory worked with CFDA Fashion Fund Winner Paul Andrew to make two key styles for spring: a flat crisscross sandal and a block-heel sandal. Price points “align with the designer niche,” with bags ranging from $295 to $745 and shoes $495 to $595. Styles will shelves starting January 15, with five more shoe styles and one additional bag to come for pre-fall.
