Tory Burch Fall 2014

DESIGNER: Tory Burch

INSPIRATION: “The inspiration starts with the armor my parents collected. The references are subtle, whether in the mix of textures (woven, quilted, pleated) or in the tapestry brocades and florals. The focus is on clean, strong silhouettes with bold embellishments. Accessories reflect the mood–bold belts with chain details, lace-up ghillie heels and muffs.”

TRENDS: Jacquard, paisley, metal and stone embellishments, chain details, floral prints, turtlenecks, combination of textures, royal hues, medieval touches, knits

PALETTE: Navy, oxblood, gold, gray

WHO WAS THERE: Anna Kendrick, Anna Wintour, Joe Zee, Leandra Medine

WHO SHOULD WEAR IT: The Tory Burch girl who loves her classics, but has taken on a more romantic, intense aesthetic. Her wardrobe consists of timeless staples (with a few luxe treasures here and there) that can be brought back to life with Burch's modern twist on the pieces in her fall 2014 collection.

PLAYLIST: “Disco/Very” by Warpaint and “Back To Life” by Soul II Soul feat. Caron Wheeler
