Using Kate Moss was a ‘Major Investment’ for Stuart Weitzman

Kate Moss is everywhere! The latest ad campaign to feature the leggy blond belongs to Stuart Weitzman. Mario Testino’s protégé Balthazar Klarwein shot the supermodel for a video campaign, where “the look is all about miniskirts and big furry coats and lots of texture,” Moss told Women’s Wear Daily of the Fall 2013 ad. Testino completed the project by shooing its still campaign.

Choosing Moss to star in both print and on film to accompany the campaign was a big deal for the shoe brand. “Using Kate is a major investment for us,” Susan Duffy, chief marketing officer for Stuart Weitzman. One, though, that the company sat on for years. “Five, 10 years ago, before we knew about Stuart Weitzman and this film, we had this idea for a film with Kate Moss strutting to ‘These Boots Were Made for Walkin.’ We just thought we didn’t know where we would ever use it.”

Well, it looks like that time has finally come! We can get a glimpse of Moss walking in her boots when the film and print campaigns are released globally in August.

Can’t wait!
