Victoria Beckham has come a long way from her days as a Spice Girl! The designer was named the Woman of the Decade, the highest honor at the Glamour Awards Tuesday night.
It’s no surprised the posh fashionista earned the coveted accolade, as she was also 2007’s Woman of the Year. For the big prize, the British glossy credited her style savvy, business acumen, multi-tasking abilities as a mom of four, and her all-around sense of “girl power” to her success.
As one of the most famous women in the world, the title solidified her status as a fashion icon. From 2008-2009, Beckham landed on three different editions of Vogue in the span of just 12 months! Plus the cover girl has been in front of the lenses of some of the most famous fashion photographers, including the Kaiser himself, Karl Lagerfeld.
At the end of the Spice Girls, aka the best-selling female group of all time, Beckham got her foot in fashion by acting as the British ambassador for Dolce and Gabbana in 2003 before creating a limited edition line for Rock & Republic called VB Rocks.Beckham also started denim, eyewear, and fragrance lines, adding to her fashionable resume. She then went on to create two eponymous fashion lines that have become some of the hottest tickets at New York Fashion Week.
We have a feeling this award will certainly redefine “Poshitis” and ensure it spreads worldwide!
