What Are Amy Heidemann’s Backstage Beauty Staples?

After debuting their newest song “Acapella,” Glam had the chance to chat with Karmin, who has partnered with Tone for its Turn It Up summer series, as they gear up to hit the road with The Jonas Brothers. Fans of the swag-pop group can enter to win exclusive access and prizes, including tickets to stops on their US tour, but we'll get to that shortly.

Summer tours can be amazing experiences, but leave you feeling (and looking) a little worse for wear. Between the sun and sweat that’s synonymous with outdoor venues, we know it’s the ick-factor that gets turned up after a set. So we had to ask Karmin’s Amy Heidemann what she’d have stashed backstage. “Sunscreen [is] huge; I never wore it when I was younger, and I regret it. Sunscreen’s important,” she shared. “Also, dry shampoo; it used to be red lipstick – I mean it’s still really important because it makes everything look better. Dry shampoo [as well] because sometimes you don’t get to take a shower right before the show and look really fresh. And even right after a show before a meet-and-greet, you want to freshen up because you’re so sweaty and it just absorbs everything.”
