Jennifer Lawrence has been a fashion favorite on the red carpet over the last couple of months. All about gowns with classic lines, fitted bodices and closely tailored silhouettes, Jennifer knows her style and what looks good on her body. While we've pinpointed Christian Dior as the actress's go-to name as of late, having worn couture dresses by the design house for the Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards and the BAFTAS, she has also donned Valentino and Prabal Gurangduring her 2013 award show appearances. With one major show left of the season (The Independent Spirit Awards are far more casual), we here at Glam eagerly await what gorgeous gown the Silver Linings Playbook nominee will wow us with at Sunday's Academy Awards.
Lawrence tends to favor strapless and with especially toned arms courtesy of archery training for the Hunger Games, who can blame her? If she chooses to add a sleeve of sorts we envision the star in a floor length dress with wide straps and a high neckline that still shows off her physique. Whatever the bodice, chic, clean lines and meticulous draping are musts for Lawrence. A beautifully crafted, long skirt will make up the rest of her gown, perhaps with a bit of embellishment or a unique detail.
As the face of Miss Dior, the house wil likely be Lawrence's choice designer again. Should she go for another label, Marchesa might be an option since Harvey Weinstein's wife Georgina Chapman tends to get top consideration by actresses in his movies.Oscar de la Renta and J. Mendel wouldn't surprise us either. A cobalt gown from J. Mendel's Fall 2013 collection or a black and nude embellished dress from De la Renta strike a beautiful balance between classic elegance and a youthful exuberance. Who do you think she'll wear?
