Why Did J. Law Cut Her Hair?
The Catching Fire star shared that the awkward growth stage of her previous cut annoyed her enough to say goodbye to the locks. “I don’t know, I cut it earlier, and it was just kind of like [shoulder-length] and it grew to that awkward, gross length, and I just kept putting it back in a bun, and I said, ‘Well I don’t want to do this,’ so I just cut it off,” she explained during a Yahoo interview with Marissa Mayer. “It just couldn’t get any uglier.”
I can certainly understand the urge to snip your strands during the grow-out stage. After see so many stars opt for Michelle Williams’ iconic style, I have serious case of hair envy myself!
Never fear, Hunger Games fans – Katniss’ signature braid isn’t going anywhere. “This isn’t how Katniss is going to look in the next movie, don’t worry,” she said. “I’m wearing a wig [in the movies].” Whew!
