Yoana Baraschi Fall 2014

DESIGNER: Yoana Baraschi

INSPIRATION: “The desire for red in a grey world,” said Baraschi, who debuted the collection at Chelsea Market’s Inglot Studio. “We live in a very urban environment; everything is very black, and white, and grey, with a lot of graphic elements in the collection. There was a need for color—some kind of shot of energy and vitality from the red.”

PALETTE: Black, white, grey, red, and magenta.

TRENDS: Sweatshirts, embroidery, leather separates, oversized coats, graphic prints, black-and-white combos, minidresses.

WHO SHOULD WEAR IT: Models on duty, looking to impress at fashion week after parties; Allison Williams, either in real life or as Marni on Girls.

PLAYLIST: “Soon” by Imani Coppola.
