We can’t count how many times we “wished upon a star” growing up, but as it turns out, dreams really do come true. Only this time, it’s thanks to the most high-profile designers in the industry as opposed to Walt Disney himself. The epic Disney princess-inspired gown collection that graced the windows of Harrods back in 2012 is now being auctioned off to those whose passions lie with fashion but whose dreams live with Disney. Christie’s has partnered up with Disney and Harrods to raise money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. The auction will take place on November 13th and potential buyers can register in advance by shooting an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The collection features interpretations of the dresses donned by ten pretty princesses we all know and love: Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahantas, Rapunzel, Snow White, and Tiana. And if that doesn’t get you excited, the illustrious list of fashion houses that created these magnificent designs definitely will. We’re talking Marchesa, Elie Saab, Valentino, Versace, Escada, Missoni, Roberto Cavalli, Jenny Packham, Oscar de la Renta, and Ralph & Russo. Though they're some of Fashion Week's biggest names, you certainly won't see these one-of-a-kind beauties walking down any runways. They twirl, they sparkle, and they certainly flatter—truly fit for the girl who considers herself the fairest princess of them all.
