… Another Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week show bites the dust … sort of.
Zac Posen abruptly decided to move his Fall 2014 show to his private studio downtown, where he will present to only 200 people, Page Six reported, instead of showing at the Pavilion at Lincoln Center on February 10th at 7 p.m., to 400 people.
Though, it doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the zoo that Lincoln Center has become during the bi-yearly fashion event. As it turns out, he was just inspired by America’s first couturier (also the subject of a coming exhibit at the Met's Costume Institution), Charles James.
“Zac has always wanted to show his clothes in a smaller setting,” Jillian Sinel, Zac Posen president said. “This decision was made because of the clothes. Zac wants to show the collection in the space where it was conceived, the place were the clothes were made.”
Well, that makes sense.
