5 Valentine’s Day Cocktails That Will Set The Mood
If you’re more into cocktails than chocolate, skip the over-the-top desserts and mix up something sweet on Valentine’s Day. Whether you prefer your beau drink sweet or spicy, smooth or strong, here are some sexy recipes to make for a romantic night in.
Just be warned: These cocktails are easy to fall in love with.
Love Potion #9
- 5 oz. CÎROC Black Raspberry
- oz Pomegranate Juice
- .75 oz Simple Syrup
- .5 oz Lemon Juice
- 1 Dash Bitters
Instructions: Combine all ingredients. Shake, then strain over ice. Top with 2 oz. ginger beer. Optional: garnish with berries.
- 5 parts BACARDÍ Añejo Cuatro
- 75 part Fresh Lemon Juice
- 5 part St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur
- 25 part Honey
- 2 Blackberries
- Martini and Rossi Prosecco
Instructions: Muddle blackberries in a tin shaker, then add ingredients. Shake and strain into coupe glass. Top with Martini and Rossi Prosecco and garnish with blackberries.
- 25ml Famous Grouse
- 25ml Marie Brizard Cherry brandy
- 2 dashes Cherry Bitters
- 2 dashes Maraschino Cherry Syrup
Instructions: Combine all ingredients with half a mug of steamed Cherry Blossom Tea and stir. Garnish with a chili pepper and cherry.
- 5 oz DeLeon Tequila
- 1oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
- .5oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 Bar Spoon Cane Syrup
Instructions: Shake ingredients with ice, then strain into ice-filled glass. Garnish with grapefruit slices.
- 2 tbsp. chocolate syrup, plus more for drizzling
- 4 oz. Baileys
- 4 oz. chocolate liqueur
- 4 oz. Smirnoff vodka
Instructions: Coat rim of martini glass with chocolate syrup, then drizzle along the inside of glass. Combine cocktail ingredients in large shaker, fill with ice, and shake until chilled. Pour into glass and serve. Optional: Top with shaved chocolate.
