5 Ways To Revamp Your Wardrobe With Statement Accessories, According To Louise Roe

Louise Roe is a television personality, model, and fashion journalist. You might recognize her from E!’s Fashion Police, CW’s Plain Jane, or from hosting MTV Europe Music Awards’ Red Carpet Show. Needless to say, she has quite the sartorial pedigree.

In the video above, she shows off her favorite statement accessories, the ones that she believes every woman should have in her closet, plus how to wear them. “My biggest tip in fashion is to revamp the clothes you’ve already got in your closet with amazing, bright, fabulous accessories,” Roe says. “It will bring new life into your jeans and t-shirts, and you don’t need to spend too much money…or, you can if you want.”

Louise Roe’s Favorite Statement Accessories

Rose gold sandals

For a great seasonal look, Roe suggests buying a pair of rose gold sandals.  “Rose gold – I want to eat it. It’s so warm and it looks amazing with a tan,” Roe says. “It is this season’s metallic.” These statement heels can be worn with your everyday LBD or jeans and tee in order to take your style up a notch.

Bright sunglasses

Roe admits that she owns far too many pairs of funky sunglasses, but thinks they’re a great investment since a new pair can give your look a totally different vibe. “A bright pair of sunglasses is such an easy way to completely change your look,” she says.

3-D clutches

“If you love fashion, you’ll know that bright, ridiculous, 3-D clutches are now all the rage,” Roe says.  To style an eye-catching clutch, Roe suggests wearing an otherwise neutral outfit with an elegant element, like a blazer, that will balance out the playfulness of the clutch.

Bucket bags

Bucket bags have been all over the runway and although they typically come in neutral colors, they still make a style statement. They’re a great bag that can take you from corporate to cocktail hour in no time. “They are perfect for taking to work, taking shopping, but also taking out for cocktails at night,” Roe says. “You can really dress it up or dress it down.”

Printed scarves

Roe suggests that women who are afraid to experiment with different colors or prints should begin with a printed scarf. Wrap one around your neck and suddenly your outfit has a pop of color. “It’s a really easy way to lift your outfit,” Roe says.
