Hilary Duff is engaged!
The 31-year-old Youngeractress announced the happy news via Instagram with photos of herself and longtime boyfriend Matthew Koma. "He asked me to be his wife," she wrote in the caption, adding a heart emoji. Koma also posted the same photos with the caption: "I asked my best friend to marry me."
Duff and Koma, a 31 year-old singer and songwriter, were first linked in early 2017, only to stop seeing each other a few months later. They then got back together in September that year, and in June 2018, the couple announced they were expecting their first child together.
“I think that you have history and a past with someone and love, and just because it doesn’t work out the first time, the second time, as long as there’s not too much damage done then it can always work out again,” she said on The Talk in 2017.
Their daughter, Banks Violet Bair, was born on October 25, 2018. "This little bit has fully stolen our hearts!" she shared at the time. Banks is Duff's second child, her first being her son Luca Cruz, who is now six, with ex-husband Mike Comrie.
The details around the engagement have yet to be revealed, but the couple did geo-tag their posts as New York, New York. Duff's ring is a stunning rectangular princess cut diamond, which she's happily showing off in her Instagram photos.
Congrats to the happy couple!
