12 Ways To Use Apple Cider Vinegar In Your Daily Routine
By JELENA ASKA
Fight Dandruff
Apple cider vinegar is an excellent home remedy for dandruff or an itchy scalp. Simply rinse your hair with a diluted solution of 2-4 tablespoons of the vinegar and 16 ounces of water, massage it into your scalp, and let it sit for a couple of minutes before washing it out.
Exfoliate Skin
According to natural beauty expert Sophia Roe, “using apple cider vinegar as a quick toner is a great way to restore the skin's natural defenses, remove excess dirt, and help fight against acne.” The vinegar can act as a gentle exfoliator, but it's always important to dilute it first.
Improve Overall Health
Drinking diluted apple cider vinegar in the morning has numerous health benefits, such as controlling blood sugar, aiding weight loss, and improving cardiovascular health. As always, you should dilute the vinegar first; one cup of water per tablespoon of apple cider vinegar will work.
Strengthen Hair
Not only does apple cider vinegar strengthen the hair, it also leaves it soft, shiny, and squeaky clean. According to hairstylist Gretchen Friesse, “dry hair needs less vinegar, and oily hair needs more,” so take time to figure out a dilution ratio that works best for you.
Prevent Foot Odor
An apple cider vinegar foot bath will help with fungal infections as well as stinky feet, and thanks to the vinegar’s exfoliating properties, your feet will be much softer after you soak them. Indulging in a foot bath once a week is also a great way to take time for yourself!
