4 Quick Ways To Dry Your Makeup Brushes
By LESLIE LEON
Makeup brushes are filled with dead skin cells, leftover products, bacteria, and dirt, so washing them should be on your weekly to-do list.
However, letting your brushes air dry can take up to 12 hours which can be a frustrating wait. Luckily, there are four easy ways to dry your brushes quickly.
1. Hang Them Upside Down
Using a hair tie or rubber band to secure the makeup brushes, hang them upside down on a hanger or rod to get rid of the water quickly.
2. Blowdry Your Brushes
This method should be used sparingly. To avoid damage, set your hair dryer on the coolest setting, moving it side to side to ensure it doesn’t stay in one spot for too long.
3. Wrap Them In A Towel
Wrap each brush individually and press down to squeeze the water out. You may need to do this multiple times until all the excess moisture has been removed.
4. Remove Excess Water
Tap out the excess water to help hasten the drying process. Run your wet brushes along the ridges of a dry cleaning pad, or tap them onto a towel.
Avoid rubbing the brush too hard. Always be gentle when dealing with wet brush bristles because they’re more prone to shedding.
