4 Steps To Banish Eyelash Glue Without The Pain
By DINNIAH BARTHOLOMEW
Use Makeup Remover
The first step to removing lash glue is to apply makeup remover to your lids and let it sit for a minute. For easy removal, it’s best to limit the amount of glue you use.
While you may be tempted to use a regular makeup wipe, a dedicated eye makeup remover or an oil-based product that is safe for your eyes will work best.
Wipe It Away
Once the makeup remover has had a chance to sink in, use a cotton round or soft rag to gently remove it. If done right, the lashes should slide off on their own.
If you’re left with residual glue, don’t scrub and pull on your lashes to remove it. Instead, simply repeat the process of letting makeup remover sit on the lids.
Cleanse The Skin
After successfully removing the lash glue, the next step is to wash your face. This might seem tedious, but it's part of a process called double cleansing.
The first cleanse is to remove dirt, makeup, and oils, while the second is to address your skin’s specific needs. Make sure you’re using the right products for your skin type.
Clean Your False Eyelashes
Your false lashes will most likely still have glue residue on them, so clean them by applying makeup remover on the lash band and letting it soak for a minute.
Then, use tweezers to gently remove the glue from the lash band. If the glue is hard to remove, let the makeup remover sit on the lashes for a longer period of time.
