5 Heel Trends That Are Totally Outdated
By LILY RAINE
Bold Heels
Loewe’s broken egg heels were once all the rage on social media, but this is not the case anymore. Instead of a bold heel, consider buying crystal heels as they’re just enough to glam up an outfit without being too “out there.”
Bright Heels
A few years ago bright colors, like neon, were all the rage, this fall it is all about classic metallics, like rose gold, silver, gold, and copper. Metallic heels seem to be a favorite of celebs as well, with high-profile names like Gwen Stefani showing off the look on Instagram.
Basic Black Pumps
Although black heels are a staple in many wardrobes, there are much trendier styles to experiment with this fall, like clog heels. Clog heels elevate the most basic looks, and they come in various styles like rubber form, wood form, and leather form.
Sky-High Stilletos
Comfort is key, so ditch the sky-high stilettos and opt for pointed slingbacks with kitten heels. These heels have made their way back around in the trend cycle and can spice up basic jeans or top off an already luxe look, without the annoyance and discomfort of a tall heel.
Lace-Ups
Lace-up gladiators were once popular, but Versace was quick to replace the outdated trend with chunky platforms. We’ve seen numerous celebrities wear chunky platform heels, so it’s a fan-favorite shoe that will not be going away anytime soon, even Beyoncé has hopped aboard the trend.
