Are You Using The Right Tools To Apply Your Highlighter?
By LINDSAY RAY
Highlighter has been trending for a few years now, but there are still some people who don’t like using it. Since highlighter isn’t as easy or straightforward to use as other makeup products, it probably comes down to the tools you’re using as to why it doesn’t come out the way you want it to.
When you’re applying highlighter, the fan brush is your best friend because it’s perfect for applying an even layer of the product without going overboard. A bigger fan brush is ideal for your cheekbones, but a smaller one can be used on the bridge of your nose, brow bone, and cupid’s bow.
Liquid highlighter requires a different application process as applying it with a brush might make it too splotchy. Instead, using your finger or a makeup sponge will give the perfect finish; a pro tip is to put a few drops of liquid highlighter on the back of your hand first and then to dab it into your skin.
