Clothing Items You Should Avoid Wearing On An Airplane
By STEPHANIE HARPER
Bulky Accessories
Skip out on bulky jewelry, like necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, if you're planning to hop onto an airplane because they can be very noisy and uncomfortable while you’re trying to lounge in your airplane seat. Getting slowed down by the TSA at the airport is another annoying factor to deal with.
Ill-Fitting Bra
Being uncomfortable on a plane is not a fun experience, especially if your bra is the cause. Wearing an ill-fitting bra can leave you with stretch marks, chafing, and shoulder pain on a regular day, but on a plane, you might not have the option to change it or take it off for the duration of the flight.
Favorite Outfit
While it may tempt you to travel in your favorite clothing, keep in mind that airplanes aren't the cleanest of places. There's a chance that you'll sit on a seat that hasn't been fully cleaned, having chewed gum pressed up against an armrest, or having grease or product buildup from a prior passenger's wet hair still on the headrest.
Shorts
The major reason you want to avoid wearing shorts on an airline is that they offer little protection against germs for your legs. It's probable that messy passengers used the seat to wipe off their hands after eating snacks, rubbing their noses, or cleaning a baby’s spit-up.
Revealing Clothing
Since airplanes can have passengers of all ages, it is preferable to not wear revealing or see-through clothing out of consideration for those around you. People have been kicked off flights for wearing clothes that are too revealing, so it's advisable to err on the side of caution and dress modestly.
