Guests at a black tie event should wear a floor-length gown or a tuxedo to exude elegance and class. However, when it comes to hair and makeup, the rules are less strict, so there are a few options to choose from.
Keep it simple with a low twist or bun, then add flair with a bow, clip, or French hairpin. If you feel your dress is already very glamorous, consider a slicked-back ponytail, which you can achieve by straightening your hair and slicking everything back with a boar bristle brush and gel.
Loose waves or a blowout are classic choices for a more formal look. If you don’t want to make a trip to a blowout bar, you can get luxurious curls at home with texturizing products and clear gloss to add shine and reduce frizz.
