How To DIY Rosemary Water To Use In Your Haircare Routine
By NATALIE FRANCISCO
Rosemary water is magic for hair growth because it stimulates hair growth by improving circulation and decreasing inflammation on the scalp. Maintaining a healthy scalp is the first step to healthy hair, and not only will it help with hair growth, but it helps relieve an itchy, dry scalp, and dandruff.
Rinse five springs that are about 6 inches long, and then put them in a pot with 2 cups of distilled water. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for at least 15 to 20 minutes or longer for a more potent infusion. Once the water turns to a yellowy green, remove the pot from the burner and let it steep for 30 minutes, then strain the water and add it to a container.
Mixing rosemary water with your shampoo is the easiest way to use it, but it might not give you the best results since you shouldn’t rinse out rosemary water immediately. You can also apply rosemary water with a spray bottle for best results; work it into your scalp one to two times weekly, and then store the mixture in the fridge for two weeks.
