In the last two years, blush sales have more than doubled in the U.S. primarily due to TikTok trends like “sunburn blush” and “Douyin blush.” And a new DIY blush hack has surfaced that will help you find the perfect blush shade to match your lip color.
User @VictoriaLyn posted a video of herself applying liquid lipstick to her lips and then rubbing some on the back of her hand. She then adds a small drop of the foundation she’s wearing and mixes them together to create a creamy blush that matches perfectly with her lipstick shade. You can try this hack with any lipstick color and consistency.
If you have a blush, you can also make DIY lipstick; simply apply the blush in a tapping motion to the center of your lips, making your way out to the corners of your mouth. You can add gloss for shine or leave it matte, and you can set your lipstick in place with a powder blush to make it last longer.
