If there's one trend that isn't going anywhere in the post-lockdown world, it's oversized clothing. This trend can be intimidating for those that are short-statured or have a petite figure, thankfully there are ways you can pull off this look without drowning out your body.
When styling oversized pieces one of the best rules for petite people to follow is to ensure the oversized piece looks like it was intentional and not like you picked out the wrong size. Try wearing baggy jeans with a tight top and pointed shoes, or consider pairing a masculine piece with a feminine piece, like a feminine slip dress and an oversized coat.
Only choose oversized pieces made for petites, because just going up in a regular-size garment isn't ideal as certain details might not hit your body the way it's designed. Accessories make an oversized look more stylish; heels make your legs appear longer while belts on coats and dresses can help define your waistline.
