How To Stay Productive When Summer Sunshine Is Calling
By SARAH VULPIO
1. Make A Schedule
Take an hour out of your weekend to plan your weekday schedule. This will prevent you from getting overwhelmed and help you complete your daily tasks.
Figure out deadlines so you know what projects to prioritize. Set aside time slots for each task and don’t be afraid to contact your supervisor for help.
2. Take Advantage Of Mornings
Waking up early has been proven to significantly increase your productivity levels. You can take this time to go for a morning walk or practice yoga as a mental reset.
Waking up earlier helps you accomplish so much more — you’ve already spent time outside, and you have the rest of the day to do chores or work.
3. Reward Yourself
Giving yourself a little treat once you've completed a task will keep you productive. Use what you’re craving, like a snack or a walk outside, as an incentive to get things done.
It might be tempting to push your work to the side and reward yourself anyway, but treating yourself is going to feel a lot more satisfying after you've completed a task.
4. Take Work Outside
If you work from home, take your work outside to enjoy the nice weather. If you’re stuck in an office space, sit by a window to enjoy the sunshine.
5. Take Breaks
Don’t forget to take breaks, even if it means sitting out on your balcony with a cup of coffee. Take a stroll around the neighborhood to clear your mind and soak up the sun.
Take shorter breaks throughout the day so you don't have to stare at your computer for several hours at a time. Giving your mind a break can keep your productivity up.
