To avoid smudged lip liner, use this genius hack from TikToker Yara. In her video, she uses setting powder before and after applying lip liner to keep the product from moving.
Influencer Anastazia Dupee reposted the original video, saying the hack prolonged the wear of her lip liner for six hours and minor fading occurred after having dinner and drinks.
Talia Chic, Pro Artist at Anastasia Beverly Hills, tells Byrdie this hack works because "the setting powder helps to absorb any excess shine and creates a smooth, dry canvas."
Prepare your lips by exfoliating and applying lip balm. Once they feel smooth, take a small powder brush and dab translucent setting powder along the edges of your lips.
Next, apply your lip liner as usual, gently blending the sharp lines. Finally, apply more powder to fully set the liner and finish the look off with your favorite lip gloss.
