Perfect Your Selfie Smile With Some Simple Tips
By YVONNE GLASGOW
Brighten Your Teeth
One way to build confidence with your smile is to brighten your teeth to remove stains caused by cigarettes, coffee, tea, and some berries (including wine). While you can prevent your teeth from staining, there are also ways to whiten your teeth at home, such as whitening toothpaste or whitening strips and trays.
Go To The Dentist
While going to the dentist to get your teeth whitened, consider the other benefits of having regular dental care, such as cleaning or straightening the teeth and help with preventing things like tooth loss, cavities, and oral cancer. Your dentist can also discuss recommendations for crooked or missing teeth.
Battle Fine Lines
You’re never too old to take a selfie, but if your smile comes with lines you’re not a fan of, you can start to make a few lifestyle changes like practicing sun safety and keeping hydrated. To treat fine lines, you can use a moisturizer, or try a more invasive procedure such as microneedling, chemical peels, or Botox.
The Perfect Lipstick
There are lipstick colors that will make your teeth look whiter, depending on your skin tone, outfit, and teeth color — avoid warm shades of red or brown if you have some yellow to your teeth. Try nudes to bold, dusty reds if you have fair toned skin, cool-toned berry colors for medium tones, and deep purples for darker tones.
Consider Lip Liner
Lip liner isn’t a must every time you put on lipstick, but it can do wonders to enhance your appearance, especially if you want to overline your lips for a plumper look. To do this, pick a creamy-textured liner in the same color family as your lipstick, apply it to your liking, and blend it smoothly with the lipstick.
