Shared Experiences: Your Guide To The New Love Language
By VANESSA ELLE
The five well-known love languages are acts of service, receiving gifts, quality time, words of affirmation, and physical touch. While these are pretty self-explanatory, you still might not know exactly where you fit — there’s now another term to describe the quality time love habit much more effectively: shared experiences.
According to PureWow, people who have this love language prioritize creating special memories with the person they're in a relationship with. They actively seek out adventures and memorable experiences that they want to share with their partner, and doing so makes them feel loved.
The main difference between the traditional love language of quality time and the new shared experiences love language is that those with quality time value their partner’s total attention while they’re spending time together — the activities don’t matter much. Those with shared experiences value planning fun and meaningful experiences to share together.
