The White Nail Theory Counters The Idea That Red Manis Attract The Most Attention

On TikTok, there has been a growing sentiment (based on a Freudian theory) that wearing red nail polish could help attract male attention. However, recently people have argued that the true man magnet color is not red after all, but white.
Celebrity nail artist Sonya Meesh described the red nail theory as the idea that men are more likely to notice bright red nails because it’s a shade worn by their mothers growing up. And while red is a very striking color, it isn’t the only color that can attract men.
Conversely, the white nail theory suggests that wearing white nail polish expresses the notion that you’re single and available. White is said to represent chastity and innocence, which is the complete opposite of a bright red nail.
