TikTok's Finger Eyeliner Technique May Be The Secret To Nailing A Smoky Liner Look

This eyeliner hack comes from TikTok user Bex (@bexcxmpbell), who can put a small amount of pencil liner on her finger, place her finger at the outer corner of her eye, then pull her finger back to reveal a perfect smoky liner look. To try this at home, use a liner pencil with a creamy texture like the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil or the Pixi Beauty Endless Silky Eye Pen.
With this trick, the softer the eyeliner the better — carefully heating the tip of your eyeliner pencil with a lighter or blow dryer is a great way to soften it up. Bex also made another video of a different way to achieve the smoky look: she applied a small amount of liner directly to the outer corner of her eye, and then used her finger to swoop the liner back into a wing.
If you’re still having trouble, try the variation shown by TikTok user Roni (@roni4444ka), who applies eyeliner around the outer corner of her eye, almost creating a tiny cat eye, before dragging the product back with her nail to create a pointed winged liner look.
