What Are Crow's Feet Around Your Eyes?
By NATALIE FRANCISCO
The older someone gets, the less collagen their body produces, resulting in your skin not having the strength to bounce back into place. Without this crucial component, the skin will take longer to heal, begin to sag, and create wrinkles, with crow's feet being one type of wrinkles that appear on the face as people mature.
When someone smiles or squints their eyes, crow's feet, also known as laugh lines, form on the face. They will naturally wrinkle the skin as people reach their 30s or 40s, but they can occur sooner due to genetics, the environment, and nutrition, as well as excessive sun exposure, so take these preventative steps to maintain your face fresh and free of fine lines.
If you've noticed that you squint a lot, consider getting your eyes checked and wearing sunglasses. Because it stimulates skin cell turnover, a process that slows as we age, wearing SPF daily, using retinol, and filling your diet with plenty of water and antioxidants like vitamins A, E, and C are excellent ways to avoid crow's feet.
