What Does It Mean If Someone Is In Their Healing Era?
By HANNAH DARLING FENN
Heartbreak, grief, burnout; there are many reasons why a season of healing may be needed in life. Our bodies and spirits often let us know when it's time to retreat, look inward, and feel what needs to be felt, and one of the best ways to do that is with a healing era.
Healing looks different for everyone, but a healing era likely involves, first and foremost, self-compassion. You may feel the desire to pull back from your social life for a time, and as long as you don't drift into a habit of isolation, this could be a healthy way to get in touch with your intuition and true self.
On the flip side, connection can also be healing, and seeking out a friend on a similar journey can be helpful. The process of healing isn’t done in one day, but incorporating healthy habits like a better sleep schedule, a healthier diet, adding movement to your day, or journaling will help get you to where you want to be.
