Silk wraps are the perfect solution if you worry about having wonky talons when cutting down your broken nail. Thankfully, they look very natural, so you can rock them anywhere.

Nail artist Ami Streets details further: a silk strip “is applied to a natural nail as an overlay to add strength,” allowing nails “to grow out without having to lose any length.”

Only add silk wrap where your nail is cracked. Once the process is complete, the silk wrap essentially fuses onto the area of the split nail and prevents it from getting worse.
