While it may seem like Julia Louis-Dreyfus is on top of the world after making history at the 2017 Emmy Awards and taking home a sixth consecutive 'Best Actress' trophy for her role in Veep, the actress shared a very personal note on Instagram, addressing her health with her fans and announcing that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She also made a plea for universal health care for those who are less fortunate than the actress.
Her emotional and inspiring post also remained positive. She says: “1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I’m the one. The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union. The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let’s fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality.” She ended the note with her signature.
