Nike's new release is a lime-green sneaker that's perfect for spring. But what really makes the shoe shine? It's covered in sparkling Swarovski crystals.
This dream collaboration is a spin on the brand's Women's Air VaporMax Flyknit 2, which was first introduced in 2018. The sneaker features 1,000 crystals which are hand-beaded and carefully placed to refract light.
Though you may not want to wear these anywhere for fear of losing one of the Swarovski crystals, they were in fact designed for fitness. Nike's website boasts: "The Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit 2 has lightweight, bouncy cushioning for a gravity-defying sensation. Flyknit fabric makes for a snug, flawless fit." The dual-finished crystals are zonally placed to augment flash, conceptualizing what happens when speed meets light.
All that detail comes at a pretty penny -- the sneakers retail for $500. The shoe released today, March 15, and it's already sold out on Nike's website.
Even if you can't snag Nike's new release, there are plenty of other lime green pieces this season, and as Cosmo claims, it's the color of spring 2019. The Kardashian-Jenners have been seen rocking the color all over social media, and it looks like this trend isn't going anywhere soon.
