Open up any tabloid to the page with the paparazzi shots and you’re more likely than not going to see a snap of Vanessa Hudgens going to or coming from a workout. When she’s not acting, singing, and dancing, you’ll find the 30-year-old triple threat sweating in classes like SoulCycle, Training Mate, and Pilates -- and she finds strength in style. It’s a large part of what motivated to the star to design an activewear collection with Avia, the first for the athletic brand.
“I’m always working out and always being photographed in workout clothes, so I wanted to create items I love and feel confident and stylish in,” Hudgens tells GLAM (after she had just gotten back from back-to-back workout classes, NBD).
Her activewear collab with Avia, which is now available at select Macy’s stores and avia.com, has just that — a mix of tops, bottoms, and sports bras that are, as Hudgens says, “practical and stylish, good for both working out and running errands in.” All the pieces are accessible, too, in more ways than one. With wallet-friendly prices ranging from $38-$64, Hudgens designed the collection with all body sizes and shapes in mind. Case in point: All of the leggings are high-waisted for the most comfortable and flattering fit. (The collection is available in sizes XS-L.)
The celeb designer’s favorites from the line? The mixed mesh leggings and matching sports bra: “You feel kind of sexy in them,” she tells us. “I think it’s important to walk into a fitness class and already like what you see when you look in the mirror.” We couldn’t agree more.
