Shot by photographer Steven Meisel, Shayk is seen in a striking Virgo one-piece bathing suit nearly indistinguishable from Lagerfeld's original 1993 design.
Kim Jones, Fendi's artistic director, clearly drew inspiration from the past when creating the brand's Summer 2023 drop. However, there are some key differences. To start, Jones has adapted the line's color palette to suit modern tastes. In place of stark primary colors, Jones' take on Lagerfeld's astrological designs features more muted shades, such as pale, bubblegum pinks and cornflower blues. Keeping with Fendi's commitment to sustainable fashion (even the best 2023 Met Gala looks were recycled), the newly-announced summer drop also incorporates plenty of recycled materials.
