While some signs may come close to making the list — like Virgo who is most definitely judging the pile of laundry on your floor but is more likely to make a passive-aggressive comment than blurt about it, or Aquarius who believes in full expression of the self sans filter but also tends to be quite open-minded — the ones who truly can't seem to stop the stream of honest thoughts once they start coming out are Sagittarius and Gemini. Blunt and bold Aries
Go-getter Aries is known to speak before thinking, and while these rams have many desirable qualities, patience typically isn't one of them. It's not that they aren't aware that they should perhaps refrain from saying whatever off-hand comment they're about to make — they simply cannot slow themselves down enough to say it in a more palatable way. If you understand anything about the zodiac sign of Aries, you know that they keep their eye on the prize, and having a filter would hinder their fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants attitude towards life.
These signs can also amp up the charisma and charm, so they are often able to get away with their filter-less ways and inspire others with their sense of leadership and empowerment. "Aries is a cardinal fire sign, meaning they like to start rather than finish and can have a short fuse," professional astrologer Tamerri Ater-Ntonni told PopSugar. "They're not known for their patience and would rather get things moving — even without the proper planning."
Daring and comedic Sagittarius
While Aries may be blunt and rushed in their communication style, Sagittarius' lack of filter manifests as daring, mischievous, and sometimes a tad snarky. This fire placement is the one to make the risky joke that might offend — or might have the group roaring with laughter. Sagittarius is the jester of the zodiac and by nature, their filter is quite minimal. If they see an opportunity to make someone laugh — or to say something slightly shocking and unexpected — they'll swoop right in. More often than not, this sign entertains and amuses the room, and if they happen to step out of line, they'll usually recorrect.
"They're also the comedians ... so they'll say outlandish stuff, but then have everybody rolling on the floor laughing about how true it is," astrologer Stina Garbis told Bustle. "Sagittarians may not have a filter, but they're really funny and everyone loves them for it."
Intellectual and playful Gemini
The twins of the zodiac are known to be curious by nature. Geminis often find themselves in careers as reporters and journalists, as their desire to know everything just can't be quelled. And it's this trait that is largely responsible for their barely there filter. You can rely on a Gemini to spill the tea and divulge secrets even when they totally didn't mean to. They also can't seem to get ahold of their inquiring nature and will volunteer to be the one to ask that prying question. Essentially, Gemini is one of the most likely zodiac signs to gossip.
Geminis may be airy by nature, but they know how to get right to the point. "They know how to say what they need to say, and they mean what they say," Colin Bedell, astrologer, author, and the founder of QueerCosmos, told Well + Good. "They may change their mind afterward, but they're very clear communicators. I find they have a really great sense of humor, and they don't take themselves too seriously."
