Everyone has their guilty pleasures. Whether it’s watching a notoriously bad TV show, or staring at your computer screen for hours watching Dr. Pimple Popper, they generally fly under the radar in our day-to-day conversations. One Craigslist user, however, has apparently extracted (get it?) the shame from their pimple-obsessed habits.
The post is aptly titled “Let me Pop your Pimples” and says, “I am one of the popaholic obsessed with watching videos of blackheads/pimples/sebaceous filaments being picked at or popped. I thought I give myself a holiday present this year and pop some pimples of my own. Only I don't seem to have any. This is where you come in. If you have pimples/acne/blackheads and would allow me to pop them I would be extremely grateful.”
The poster is willing to pay $45 per hour and requires participants to send pictures of “what you would let [the popper] pop,” as well as your availability. The popper is very on top of his or her calendar, it seems.
It is also noted that the method of choice is the Enilsa Brown (an aesthetician turned YouTube sensation) method, using Q-tips and rubber gloves. Additionally, if you’re cool with it, they’ll use a sterile needle “to help any sticky ones out.” Rubbing alcohol and Clearasil Deep Pore Acne Pads will be employed at the end to clean up the mess. We wonder if this applies to fungal acne, too, or if we'll still have to stick to spearmint tea.
The post was later shared on Reddit and sparked quite the conversation. If you want to check it out (despite any and all warnings against at-home popping), feel free to bring a friend and something to help pass the time. The would-be popper is also “420 friendly and can provide a joint or two.” Good to know!
