Wedding season isn’t over yet! Over the weekend, Mandy Moore married her longtime boyfriend, Dawes lead singer Taylor Goldsmith. Wearing a pink Rodarte ruffled wedding gown and veil, the 34-year-old actress said “I do” in a super intimate setting, surrounded by family and friends. The private ceremony was reportedly held at Moore’s home at sundown with an estimated 50 guests, including her This Is Us co-stars.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, her friend and makeup artist posted behind-the-scenes photos (above), writing: “Yesterday was pretty magical. I laughed, I cried and I danced real hard.”
While official photos from the day have not been released, sources told E! News that it was an “intimate backyard wedding” with “boho” vibes. Think ornate rugs surrounding the alter and whimsical flower arrangements complete with feathers. After the ceremony, the celebration continued at The Fig House in Los Angeles, where guests enjoyed a rather nontraditional reception. Instead of a sit-down dinner, Moore and Goldsmith went with food stations and a whiskey bar. Plus, lots of wine, of course. As for the wedding cake, the newlyweds “had 12 different kinds of cake for people to try.”
“The idea of standing up in front of 200 people and saying my vows makes me feel nauseous,” Moore told Glamour. “I don’t think I could do that. And it also feels like a super intimate experience that I wouldn’t want to share with 200 people.” She continued, saying that she didn’t want her wedding day to be “some full-blown production,” so it sounds like this bride’s big day went exactly as she had hoped.
Moore and Goldsmith met in 2015 on Instagram and were engaged two years later, keeping their love life relatively low-key throughout. Congratulations to the happy couple!
