10 Thanksgiving Cocktails to Toast to Togetherness
It’s Turkey Day, which means it’s time to gather a cup of cheer and give thanks for all that we have. Regardless of if you’re dining with family, friends, or both, the big meal calls for a little holiday spirit in the form of a cocktail or two. Raise a glass to those you love with one of the luscious libations.
Spiced Bourbon Pumpkin Milkshake by Alie Ward and Georgia Hardstark
2 cups vanilla ice cream
½ cup roasted or canned pumpkin
3 oz. bourbon
1/3 cup half-and-half
3 tbsp. pure maple syrup
½ tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp. crushed cloves
Add the ice cream, pumpkin, bourbon, half-and-half, maple syrup and pumpkin pie spice to a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and sprinkle with a pinch of crushed cloves for aroma. Sip. Feel joy. Give thanks that bikini season is six months away.
Toasted White Cranberry
1 1/2 parts EFFEN Salted Caramel Vodka
1 3/4 parts White Cranberry Juice
1/4 part Fresh Lemon Juice
1/4 part Simple Syrup
Toasted Coconut Flakes
In a mixing glass, combine all ingredients and shake with ice. Strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with toasted coconut flakes.
Ruffino Atunno Fall Fizz Ambiance
6 oz. Ruffino Prosecco
½ oz. Apple Brandy
small scoop Cranberry Puree
Stir the Apple Brandy and Cranberry Puree over ice. Strain into serving glass. Top with 6 oz Ruffino Prosecco. Serve in a Coupe or Champagne Flute and garnish with a Cranberry Skewer
Gobble, Gobble Cobbler
1 oz. Pinnacle Peachberry Cobbler Vodka
Splash DeKuyper Peachtree Schnapps
1 oz. Apple Cider (frozen)
Blend with ice and pour into a cocktail glass.
Maple Syrup Martini
2 oz. SkinnygirlT Bare Naked Vodka
2 oz. club soda
Dollop of sugar-free warm maple syrup
Shake vodka and maple syrup together with ice. Top with club soda and pour into martini glass.
2 oz of PELIGROSO Cinnamon Tequila
5 oz of Grapefruit
5 oz Simple Syrup
Top off with 1.5 oz Fresca. Garnish with grapefruit twist.
Sparkling Estate Diamond
1 1/2 parts Cruzan Estate Diamond Dark Rum
3/4 parts Lime Juice
3/4 parts Honey Syrup
Combine rum, juice and syrup over ice and shake for 15 seconds. Fine strain into a chilled champagne flute. Top with sparkling wine.
Kilbeggan Apricot Cobbler
1 ¾ oz. Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey
½ oz. Apricot Syrup
6 oz. Hot Water
2 Dashes Orange Bitters
¼ oz. Brown Sugar Syrup
Method: Heat Glass. Add all ingredients into a hot drink glass and stir. Zest an orange over the glass and add an orange garnish studded with cloves
Cherry Bourbon Licor Liquor
2 oz. bourbon
3/4 oz. Licor 43
3 dashes cherry bitters
Add all ingredients to a glass and stir with ice for 15-30 seconds. Strain into a glass with a large, fresh ice cube and garnish with a Luxardo cherry. Toast to vanilla-cherry winter warmth, over ice.
Kahlúa Espresso Martini
1 1/2 oz. Kahlúa
1 oz. Absolut Vodka
1 fresh brewed espresso
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker over ice. Shake until chilled and strain into a martini glass.
