4 Things Your Daily Moisturizer Should Do
So you’ve found a terrific moisturizer. The packaging looks great and it smells fantastic, but is it really helping your skin? Consult our handy checklist before making your purchase.
1. Protect Your Skin From the Sun
Make sure your moisturizer contains a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 30. When used property, it will decrease the risk of skin cancer and early aging caused by the sun’s rays.
2. Even Tone and Texture
Look for a moisturizer containing soy—it will help smooth out discoloration (like acne scars) and even skin tone.
3. Brighten Your Skin
Dull, uneven skin? No thanks. A basic moisturizer might not help with radiance, but those containing soy proteins will give your skin a healthy glow.
4. Moisturize, of Course!
Help your moisturizer live up to its full potential by cleansing or gently exfoliating beforehand and applying while skin is only 60 percent dry.
