Behold, the Mynt 1792 Blogger Jacket Collection
There’s a snap in the air and the leaves are starting to pile up on the sidewalks. It is time for fall fashion and fabulous coats are a must. Plus sized women aren’t just looking for blah peacoats and oversized woolen tents, we are seeking fashionable statement pieces that will keep us warm and stylish throughout the season – just like every other woman! Luckily this year, there are new and improved options available, and new brands on the horizon. Take for example Mynt 1792. The intent behind the brand is to combine “downtown trend with uptown sophistication, achieving the perfect balance between street chic and wear to work styling.” They achieve that by creating jackets, tops and bottoms with edge and sass.
This season Mynt 1792 went the extra mile and partnered with a select group of popular plus size bloggers to create their Blogger Jackets collection and it is a rare and beautiful thing to behold. Each jacket so clearly matches the blogger’s aesthetic. Nicolette Mason’s is baby blush pink, studded and whimsical. Nadia Aboulhosn created a clear vinyl moto jacket that 90’s Missy Elliott would approve of. Allison Teng created a maroon twill zip off trench with faux leather sleeves, Franceta Johnson made a fly 3 in 1 black faux leather convertible trench, and Kellie Brown created a chic forest green puffer coat with faux leather sleeves. I had to ask Kellie the inspiration behind her design:
“When I was creating my jacket I wanted something that felt fresh to me and that was really cool but wearable. For me it's always been really hard to find a fun sporty coat that I can dress up or down. So that was key! I also love convertible pieces that you can get a ton of wear out of.”
The versatility of the collection is impressive, and the range of personality incorporated into the design is inspiring. Click here to check out this unique outerwear collection. Congrats, ladies!
