Ramp up your midi ring collection, store the nail polish. Chanel's Creative Director of Makeup, Peter Philips, just made a drastic statement on the couture runway in Paris when it comes to accessories and manicures.
Over the seasons, Chanel cemented its position as the show to watch when it comes to polish colors and designs. Remember the jade hue? Or the outlined moon manicures? How many of us are still rocking those inspired looks on an occasional basis? That's what we thought.
Along with Karl Lagerfeld's latest creations for the storied fashion house, models including Erin Wasson and Joan Smalls strutted down the catwalk with polish free nails decorated with rings. Instead of the color of the season, Philips opted to turn a beauty moment into a statement jewelry moment of the season.
If you need any more indication that arm parties are so 2012, the Chanel runway is clearly proof.
