Glam checked in with Casey Casterline as she primps and preps for a magazine feature, listens to lectures at NYU, and trains for the New York City Marathon -- all while spreading the word on eDivv's swapping services to everyone she meets. Here, she share her packed schedule:
Rise and shine! Woke up, brewed some much needed coffee on the Keurig and had my morning cup along with a yogurt and a banana.
Opened the computer and went through all my emails from last night and this morning.
Jump in the shower and start to get ready for the day. Hop out of the shower and start my beauty routine.
Finish packing my bag and walk out the door. Jump on the 6 train subway to 33rd street and headed to Drybar to get a quick blowout to look my best for my interview with InStyle Magazine’s features editor. I normally just air dry my pin straight hair but I have a long weekend of plans ahead of me and sometimes getting a blow out is just easier!
At the salon, getting my blowout! Spoke to my stylist about eDivv and she said she ALWAYS has products lying around from her beauty subscription boxes. You never know who you will meet in New York City!
Finished with the blowout, heading over to InStyle Magazine. However, no time for the subway now...hopped in a cab and headed crosstown to 51st and 6th Ave.
New York City traffic, tell the cab we will get out and walk the last 2 blocks even though it is freezing out!
Interview with InStyle Magazine’s Features Editor! The interview went great! She loved eDivv and the whole concept. We were so excited to be there and share our story with her. It was so exciting and amazing that a magazine I had routinely read, actually is interested in eDivv!
Hopped in a cab and headed straight down to NYU Stern School of Business at West 4 and Greene Street in the Village for their yearly NYU Entrepreneur Festival. My boyfriend and business partner, Jon Katz, is an MBA student at Stern so we were able to showcase eDivv to the NYU community. We heard some great lectures from very prominent entrepreneurs, and got to see the new and exciting businesses coming from NYU. We spend some time networking and telling people about eDivv.com.
Grabbed a quick lunch in between lectures. Mozzarella and Tomato wrap for me.
Back on the train, heading uptown. Get home and put on my workout clothes. When I’m training for half marathons, (and signed up to run the NYC marathon in the fall) even after a long day I need to get my run in. Nothing clears my head and gets me re-energized like a good workout.
Head over to the gym and get a good 5-mile run in. Today I am doing interval training to increase my pace!
Got home from the gym and picked up mail. Received two Divvy’s (eDivv's way of saying trade) in the mail from fellow eDivv subscribers! I love being part of the community and participating in so many trades with people! Next, have to prepare for one last meeting of the day. We need to discuss with our development team new updates to the site, new functionalities, and a timeline of how long it will take to implement them.
Skype call with website development team.
Cook pasta & chicken dinner with my boyfriend while we discuss our day, the people we met and what we need to accomplish tomorrow. Running a business is definitely a 24/7 job!
Shark tank time! I enjoy a glass of white wine while I unwind and watch my favorite show. Goodnight!
