Diane von Furstenberg is giving the people what they want: costume jewelry.
“I am still doing fine jewelry, but people ask me for costume jewelry,” the designer said her new bauble collection with Haskell Jewels. “They want to have the $300 necklace.”
So next February, DVF is giving her customers something more affordable than her fine jewelry line. The collection will include cuffs, bangles, rings, and necklaces all priced $68 to $628. This isn't her first time creating costume jewelry, she worked with Haskell Jewels in the 80s--even dating the CEO Frank Fialkoff.
“I really love jewelry that makes noise and makes a statement,” she continued. “I also like fluidity in jewelry. It’s all treated like fabric.”
We can't wait to stack a few embossed leather bangles with the designer’s signature lip print on the clasp on our wrist (and make a ton of noise, too)!
