Well, it's about time. Shame that it has taken so long for the New York runway to included someone (or someONES) from the plethora of talented designers in the plus size style world, but nonetheless we're excited that the lady leading the way is Eden Miller. Her line, Cabiria, which launched through Kickstarter in 2012, prides itself in offering high-end, high-quality women's styles in a diverse array of sizes--and we'll be seeing it up close and personal on the Spring 2014 catwalk. Cabiria' frocks feature interesting, whimsical prints and vintage inspired silhouettes, but more importantly, careful craftsmanship which ensures long term wearability and comfort. Here's the great news according to Miller, an award winning costume designer and wardrobe stylist, who took to the Cabiria blog to write, "Cabiria has been invited to take part in New York Fashion Week in the tent shows. It will be September 6th, the first show of the second day, right before the Project Runway show. Cabiria is the first plus designer to EVER be invited to show at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Shows. Ever. This is such a huge milestone for legitimizing plus fashion, and incredibly exciting for me personally."
