Let it be known: Donatienne has forever heightened handbag standards and changed the purse game for me. Nothing will ever be the same. I can explain.

Launched in 2011 and fronted by Los Angeles based designer Nikki Erwin, the brand provides savvy style seekers with cool, California inspired handbags that hail a high-fashion feel. Each piece embodies Erwin's eye for sensible design, careful craftsmanship, and time-transcending style.

While every Donatienne line provides customized beauty in it's own way–cool, graphically inclined clutches, smooth, oversized totes, and everything it between–her cross-body collection captured my attention for their effortless, everyday appeal. The “Jordie,” as my particular style is named, serves up unmatched suppleness with its buttery leather casing and soft suede lining. It was everything I had hoped for in an investment bag for daily usage, proving both versatile and effortless, yet chic and unique. A roomy inside, protected by a flap closure that opens for even more storage space made for a perfect size. The heavy brass hardware and subtle fringe detailing gave it a stylish flair. Handbag happiness had never looked so good.
