Erin Fetherston Fall 2015

Designer: Erin Fetherston

Inspiration: The designer was inspired by the tree-lined street of her youth, Wildwood Avenue, for its fairytale-like aesthetic.

Trends: The classic button down took a fantastical turn in Fetherston's collection, as her version of the dress shirt called for silk georgette and billowing sheer sleeves. These paired well under floral dresses and crepe trousers and were also interpreted for lattice organza collared shirt dresses. Sleek crepe jumpsuits, fit-and-flare cocktail dresses with metallic overlay, high-waisted chiffon gowns, and tailored separates also made up the line.

Palette: Mossy green, rose, poinsettia red, saffron, merlot, blackberry, ivory, gold, cream.

Playlist: “Anything Could Happen,” by Ellie Goulding, “Five Seconds to your Heart,” Twin Shadow, “Gone Daddy Gone,” by Violent Femmes, “Rill Rill,” by Sleigh Bells, “Girls Chase Boys,” by Ingrid Michaelson

Who was there: Martha Stewart, Kerris Dorsey, Tallulah Willis, Louise Roe

Who should wear it: Ladies who look for femininity and fantasy in their garments.
